My life in England

Hello everybody,

that it my new blog where I will tell more about my life in England and where I will put some pictures of my place and of my activities and friends here.(IF YOU WANNA SEE SOME PICTURES NOW, YOU CAN CHECK THE LINK ON THE RIGHT "KATJA'S PHOTOS" ).
So right now it makes more than one month I live here and everything is going pretty well. I am actually very busy with my studies and I have a lot of work to do, so right now I don't have much time to visit the region or so, but I like my new university a lot and the course are very interesting.
I am with many international students all the time and that is such a nice experience, because we can all learn a lot from each other.
So my courses this semester are : Climate system, Meteorology and climate, Economics of the Environement and Research skills and most of them are very interesting.
I learn a lot during my economics courses, because that is a complete new class for me, so it is pretty difficult, but interesting in some way.
Otherwise, I did apply for my Master Thesis at IMAU (http://www.phys.uu.nl/~wwwimau/) in Utrecht and they accepted me there, so that is such a great news, because it means I will be able to go on with my studies in Utrecht (Netherland) and it was really my goal, so I am glad about it and about the fact I will be able to live in this country I really like too.
So the subject of my Master Thesis will be about Ice core and methan concentrations i.e. how to measure methan concentration in ice core thus trying to see what are the link between antropic emission and what we can measure. I have a keen interest in this subject, so I can not wait to start to work on it... but I have to wait till april or so...
So that is my current news.
I will add pictures here very soon, so you will see how is my house, my room and my housemates.
